Fees & Transparency
Talking about money shouldn’t feel uncomfortable — including talking about what we charge. We believe you deserve to know exactly what you’re paying, exactly what you’re getting, and exactly why the structure works the way it does.
No surprises or fine print buried where you won’t find it. Just a straightforward conversation about cost and value.
Fee-Only. Fiduciary. Always
Why fee-only matters
Wild Iris Financial is a fee-only firm. That means we are compensated exclusively by you — our client — and by no one else.
We don’t earn commissions. We don’t receive referral fees. We don’t get paid differently depending on what we recommend. No third party is compensating us for putting you in a particular product, fund, or strategy.
This structure exists for one reason: to eliminate the conflicts of interest that exist when an advisor’s compensation depends on what they sell. When you pay us directly, our only financial incentive is to serve you well enough that you want to keep working together. That’s it.
Combined with our fiduciary obligation — our legal requirement to act in your best interest at all times — the fee-only model is the cleanest, most transparent structure available in financial services.
No Commissions
No referral fees
No conflicts
How We Charge
We offer two primary service models — ongoing portfolio management and financial planning. Depending on your situation and what you need, one or both may apply.

Financial Planning
For clients who engage us for standalone financial planning or consulting — without ongoing portfolio management — we offer both fixed-fee and hourly arrangements.
Fixed fees for comprehensive financial planning range from $2,500 to $10,000 depending on the complexity of your situation. Hourly consulting is available at $250 to $500 per hour.
Financial planning fees are paid 50% in advance, with the remainder due upon delivery of your plan. As with portfolio management, you may terminate within five business days of signing for a full refund.
The specific fee for your engagement will be discussed and agreed upon before any work begins. You will always know the cost before you commit.
| Assets Under Management | Annual Fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 – $2,000,000 | 1.00% |
| $2,000,001 – $5,000,000 | 0.85% |
| $5,000,001 and above | 0.70% |
Portfolio Management
For clients who engage us for ongoing investment management, we charge an annual advisory fee based on assets under management. The fee is assessed quarterly and paid in advance.
Fees are generally negotiable and will be memorialized in your advisory agreement. You may terminate the agreement without penalty for a full refund of fees within five business days of signing. After that period, you may terminate immediately upon written notice, and any prepaid fees will be refunded on a prorated basis.
Account Minimums
We maintain a minimum investment threshold of $250,000 for portfolio management services.
That said, we believe access to quality financial planning shouldn’t be a barrier. If you’re below that threshold but feel Wild Iris Financial may be the right fit for your situation, we encourage you to reach out. Minimums may be waived at our discretion.
If portfolio management isn’t the right fit right now, standalone financial planning may be a better starting point — and there’s no minimum for that.
What’s not included

Our advisory fee covers our services — planning, investment management, and ongoing support. It does not cover fees charged by third parties, which may include:
Custodian or account Maintenance fees
Underlying fund expenses and expense ratios
Transaction or brokerage fees
Fees charged by attorneys, CPA, or other professionals we coordinate with on your behalf

Performance-based fees
Wild Iris Financial does not charge performance-based fees or accept fees based on capital gains or appreciation in client accounts.
